CRI Adds to Its Seal of Approval Program

Dalton, GA, May, 23, 2011--The Carpet & Rug Institute's Seal of Approval program has added 16 vacuums and one new cleaning system. This brings the total of approved products and systems to 766.

Products added at the gold level include: Oreck's U4280 XL Signature Plus II (household upright), U4180 XL Pro Plus II (household upright), U3774HH Legacy Series (household upright), U7010 XL (household upright), and U2000R (household and commercial upright).

New silver products include Oreck's U8100 XL Edge (household upright) and U 8000 Edge (household upright).

Those that earned bronze-level approval are household upright models Oreck's U7220 XL Pilot, U7230 XL Pilot, U 7060 Gold and 7210 David Oreck Aviator. Hoover's commercial backpack C2401-010 with 8695 Powerhead and Commercial upright C1800-020 Conquest 14 Bagged models both earned certification at the bronze Level. And Sanitaire earned bronze-level approval for its Sanitaire Quiet Clean Model SC5745A commercial upright.

There are now a total of 264 certified vacuums in the program.

Two pre-sprays, one spot remover to its solutions category and three extractors were added to the Seal of Approval program as well.
