Alexandria, VA, Dec. 18--Coverings, the preeminent showcase for ceramic tile and natural stone floorcoverings, announced the launch today of its newly refurbished Website, www.coverings.com. The site is now organized for easier navigation and includes seven trade areas with content customized for their particular needs.
Specialized icons for distributors, retailers, fabricators, architects, designers, builder/remodelers, and installers are located at the top of the home page. Those icons guide visitors to customized content areas in which they will find information on topics such as the benefits of attending the show, conference sessions of interest to their respective fields and after-hours events. A sidebar on the left provides general information on what’s new to the show, the exhibition, conferences, special events, registration, housing and travel, sponsors, the press room, frequently asked questions and the exhibitor resource center.
“Since Coverings plays host to more than 1,000 exhibitors from all over the world, we thought it was critical to ensure that our Web site provide simple navigation to deliver as much targeted information as possible,” says Tamara Christian, Coverings’ show director and president of National Trade Productions. “It is now even more comprehensive, audience specific and extremely user friendly.”
A simple click on the “architect” icon, for instance, will bring visitors to a greeting page with information tailored specifically to this audience. There is a link to a list of those exhibitors who are interested in selling directly to architects. Another link reveals a list of the conference sessions designed for this community, while another offers information on a targeted networking event. Similar facts are provided under the icons for the six other attendee segments.
The pressroom also has been refurbished with segments for show press releases, exhibitor press releases, exhibitor press services, exhibitor news and announcements, speaker biographies and press conference scheduling.
