Coverings Attendance Declines to 22,000
Alexandria, VA, MAY 15, 2009-—The final registered attendance figure for Coverings 2009 in Chicago totaled 22,000, which organizers called a predictable decline reflecting the economic turndown.
Officials said the 20th anniversary show saw an ample amount of order-writing.
“Admittedly, there was some uncertainty and skepticism going into the show,” said Glenn Feder, president of client events for National Trade Productions, which manages and produces Coverings.
“But, what we’re hearing repeatedly from our exhibitors and guests is that Coverings was totally up to par and exceeded their expectations."
