Coverings Appreciation Night Honors Dealers, Contr

Alexandria, VA, February 17, 2006--Networking is one of the most beneficial qualities of Coverings 2006, April 4-7, and it does not stop at the end of a show day. In fact, the after-hours Dealer, Distributor and Retailer Appreciation Night party is one of the most popular events that have become a Coverings tradition. It’s where the commerce continues, but in a far more relaxing and entertaining environment. This special event is scheduled for Thursday, April 6, 6:30 p.m., at Motion, one of the hippest and hottest music video nightclubs at Downtown Disney® Pleasure Island. Tile of Spain is hosting the festivities. “Tile of Spain is proud to sponsor the Appreciation Night for the tile and stone industry’s dealer, distributor and retailer community,” said Javier Soriano, director of foreign trade and export promotion for ASCER. “This event has become an anticipated part of the week’s activities and a meaningful extension of the show,” he continued. “Often, it’s in more relaxed social settings like these where business relationships take root and are nurtured. Appreciation Night parties are orchestrated with equal finesse as the other show components, whether it’s assigning space for the 1,200 exhibitors and their displays, scheduling the dozens of daily continuing education programs that are offered on site, or managing the newly launched and innovative online Matchmaking Service connecting buyers to sellers. This commitment to quality and style has contributed to the success of Coverings and makes it an experience that has payoffs for all who attend.” Dealers, distributors and retailers will also benefit from free conference sessions led by industry experts including Patti Faisan and Steve Raish, University of Ceramic Tile and Stone, leadership coach Linda Talley, and well-known industry consultant Donato Grosser. What’s more, these attendees should find keynote speaker Paco Underhill of particular interest. The acclaimed author of “Why We Buy: The Science of Shopping” will share insight from his studies on the retail environment, consumer buying habits, and what influences a purchase. His presentation kicks off the four-day show at the Orange County Convention Center.
