Consumer Spending Rises in April
Washington, DC, June 1, 2012 -- Consumer spending edged up modestly in April, according to the Commerce Department.
However, personal income growth was the slowest in five months.
Consumer spending increased 0.3% in April following a revised 0.2% gain in March.
Income grew 0.2% in April, the worst showing since incomes fell 0.1% in November.
