Consumer Spending Accelerates in November

Washington, DC, Dec. 23, 2014 -- U.S. consumer spending picked up in November, according to the Commerce Department.

Personal spending increased 0.6% from the prior month. October spending was revised up to a 0.3% gain from the initially estimated 0.2% increase.

Personal income also increased 0.4%.

Economists had forecast a 0.5% rise in spending and income.
