Consumer Spending & Income Up in November

Washington, DC, December 23--Consumer spending rose 0.2% in November, according to Commerce Department. In October the category saw an increase of 0.8%, according to revised figures. Incomes in November were up 0.3% after an increase of 0.6% the month before. Economists were anticipating an increase of 0.3% in spending and a 0.2% gain in the income figure. When adjusted for inflation, consumer spending in November was flat, compared with a solid 0.4% rise in October.
