Consumer Sentiment Up in July

Washington, DC, July 13, 2007-- The Reuters/University of Michigan's index of consumer sentiment rebounded in July to 92.4 from 85.3 in June. The gain in was the largest since October.

The reading compares with an average of 88.6 in the 12 months through June.

Economists were expecting the index to increase to 86.
