Consumer Sentiment Up in July

Ann Arbor, MI, July 15--The University of Michigan's preliminary consumer sentiment index for July rose to 96.5 from 96 in June to the highest level so far this year. Economist had forecast a reading of 95 for the month. The current conditions index fell to 112 in July from 113.2 in June. The expectations index increased to 86.6 from 85.
