Consumer Sentiment Ticks Down in April

Ann Arbor, MI, April 13, 2012 -- Consumer sentiment in April edged down to 75.7 from a final March level of 76.2, according to the University of Michigan/Thomson Reuters.

Economists had expected a mid-April reading of 76.4.

While higher stock prices and employment gains have helped consumers this year, higher gas prices and conditions in Europe remain a concern.
