Consumer Sentiment Continues To Fall
Ann Arbor, MI, March 28, 2008--The U.S. consumer sentiment index fell to 69.5 in March from 70.8 February, according to a Friday report from University of Michigan/Reuters.
Economists were expecting a reading of 69.6. The March reading followed a 7.6 point plunge in February, which survey creators said is indicative of a recessionary environment.
The current conditions index rose to 84.2 from 83.8 in February. The expectations index declined to 60.1 from 62.4.
