Consumer Confidence Hits Three-Year High

New York, NY, Feb. 22, 2011 -- Consumer confidence hit a three-year high in February, according to a report by the Conference Board.

The industry group said its index of consumer attitudes rose to 70.4 in February from a revised 64.8 in January. It was the highest level since February 2008.

Economists were expecting a reading of 65.

The expectations index rose to 95.1, its highest level since December 2006, from 87.3.
