Consumer Confidence Falls More Than Expected

Washington, DC, May 27, 2008-- Consumer Confidence fell to the lowest level in more than 15 years, according to the Conference Board.

The board's confidence index declined more than forecast to 57.2, the lowest level since October 1992, from a revised 62.8 in April.

Economists forecast the Conference Board's measure would fall to 60.
