Construction Hiring Growing Due To Remodeling

New York, NY, Feb. 22, 2012 -- Construction hiring is increasing thanks to growing interest in home remodeling projects, Bloomberg News reported.

Bloomberg said that the number of people working in residential remodeling grew 5.8% in December to 250,700 from a year earlier, citing figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

This was the highest growth for these jobs since December 2006.

Another indication of interest in home improvement, Home Depot this week reported fourth-quarter net income that exceeded analysts’ estimates.
