Construction Employment Lowest in Over 14 Years
Washington, DC, Aug. 9, 2010--The construction industry is at its lowest level of employment in more than 14 years, according to data from the Department of Labor.
The typical summer surge of construction jobs didn't materialize this year, and the economy lost 11,000 construction jobs in July.
Over 1.5 million construction workers are out of work, creating an unemployment rate of 17.3%.
