Congoleum Announces Price Increase

Mercerville, NJ, May 13, 2011 -- Congoleum became the latest resilient firm to announce a price increase that will take effect next month.

The firm said it will increase prices 6-8% on all Congoleum products, effective June 27.

“We have continued to receive cost increases in key raw materials used in the manufacturing of our products,” said Dennis Jarosz, senior vice president.

“In addition to that, the raw materials used in both our tile and sheet products are projected to continue to escalate.”

Armstrong and Mannington have announced similar increases, also effective June 27.
