Congoleum Add New Designs to its DuraCeramic Line

Mercerville NJ, February 23, 2007--Congoleum has introduction of three new designs in 10 colors to its DuraCeramic, engineered ceramic line for the Spring selling season. Available to ship in early March, the three new DuraCeramic lines and colorways are: Morocco which offers soft linear and contemporary visuals that mimic the newest trends in ceramics. The fabric-like designs produce a serene, soothing environment. Morocco is available in fern, dusk, linen, cinnamon, biscuit and carnival.   Tranquility which takes DuraCeramic’s design capabilities to new heights with a polished crystal look in pearl and blush for a high-class in any room, whether the installation is grouted or ungrouted.   Travertine Walk in parchment and champagne which rounds out the impressive DuraCeramic collection just as the demand for travertine looks drives the tile market.   Morocco, Tranquility and Travertine Walk will become part of the main, 16-inch format DuraCeramic line.    According to Chris Melton, product manager for Congoleum, “The introduction of the three new collections brings to 13 the number of DuraCeramic lines and to 53 the distinctive colorations offered by this unique product, developed by Congoleum and introduced in 2003. In 2007, we will continue to explore even more creative and color possibilities and spectacular natural visuals.”   The complete DuraCeramic line now features Sierra Slate, Heirloom, Earthpath, Pacific Marble, Cambridge Tile, Roman Elegance, Mercer Tile, Dreamscape, Rapolano, Sandalstone and the new Morocco, Tranquility and Travertine Walk fashions.   The DuraCeramic line was first to explore the frontier of engineered resilient flooring. By combining limestone and space-age, cross-linked materials for high performance, then creating natural stylings consumers wanted in slate, marble, porcelain and other stone looks and a patented colorized acrylic grout, the result was a whole new flooring category with new features and benefits.   Among those are the fact that DuraCeramic is fast and easy to install and has been proven to be warmer to the touch and softer underfoot, quieter and less likely to shatter fragile items like glassware.   All DuraCeramic products are installed using DuraSet Adhesive and Congoleum’s proprietary DuraCeramic Premixed Acrylic Grout in 16 designer colors. (Grout selection charts feature tear-off samples of matching or coordinating grout colors. These established sales tools are available to retailers via authorized Congoleum distributors.)
