Commercial Real Estate Prices Rise in December

New York, NY, Feb. 23, 2010--Moody’s reported that U.S. commercial real estate prices rose in December for the second month in a row, according to Seeking Alpha.

The December rise was 4.1%, according to the CPPI, the Commercial Property Price Index. Not only did prices rise, but so did the volume of sales.

"Although we are unable to conclude that the bottom to the commercial real estate market is here, we do believe that the period of large price declines is over," says Moody's Managing Director Nick Levidy.

"We will need to see data from the first few months of 2010 to develop a better picture of where things stand."
