Chinese Hardwood Producers Hit Infringement Hurdle
Singapore, January 19, 2007--China's eighteen wood flooring enterprises including Power Dekor, Vohringer and Sichuan Shengda Wooden Products Co., Ltd (China's three well-known flooring industry enterprises) have infringed in the flooring patent of Unilin, according to a the International Trade Commission. A report from SinoCast, said that U.S. Customs will restrict the export of the products related to flooring and Dekor, Vohringer and Shengda and so on won't win in the elementary judgement about the seventh locking patent. "The seventh locking patent still belongs to the three patents indicted by Unilin", said some Chinese flooring enterprises. "If the flooring enterprises want to sell the flooring products they must pay 100,000-USD 120,000 one time to Unilin and an extra USD 0.65 per square meter will be paid for the sales as the patent admission charge," according to ITC.
