New York, NY, August 15--Chilewich has formed a Hotel & Restaurant Division to aggressively pursue the hospitality industry. Named to head sales for this segment of the business is Ryan Reitmeyer.
In announcing the creation of the new division and Reitmeyer’s addition, Sandy Chilewich, president, said, "The hospitality industry represents an enormous sales opportunity that we now are vigorously targeting. Our vinyl textiles are a natural fit to the needs of so many prestige hotels and resort properties, first class restaurants and clubs, and even food and beverage chains because the designs convey a high level of style and an upscale image."
Joining Chilewich earlier this year, Reitmeyer is responsible for sales and management of existing hotel and restaurant accounts and for building this category of business for the brand. Armed with a growing array of products, he not only is focusing on tabletop and "front of the house" usage, but also on other areas where the company’s floor covering products are appropriate and where its customization capabilities can be put to use.
"We’ve got custom bound floor mats going into Starbuck’s in dozens of locations around the country," he said, “And, we’ve created a custom desk blotter for a hotel project in Minneapolis. These are just a few of the projects, other than tabletop, that we’re involved in."
Previously, Reitmeyer was showroom manager for Carini Lang Carpets, where he was responsible for a+d accounts. Prior to that he was a sales representative for Michaelian and Kohlberg.
