Chicago's Village Carpets & Rugs Closing Doors After 52 Years

Chicago, IL, October 19, 2016—Village Carpets & Rugs, located in Winnetka, is closing its doors.

The business started in 1964 and has evolved throughout the years to become a premium location for area rugs and carpets with a 4,500 square foot showroom.

When Sue Suster started creating and developing custom rugs over 30 years ago, her designs were in such demand, both in the U.S. and in her luxury rental home in Queretaro, Mexico, that both Sue and her husband, Rip, took the opportunity to expand by incorporating them into the specialized boutique rug and carpet store, Village Carpets.
