Chicago Manufacturing Continues To Expand

Chicago, IL, June 30, 2014 -- Chicago purchasing managers index fell in June after hitting a seven-month high in May, according to the Chicago business barometer.

It declined to 62.6 in June from 65.5 in May, mostly due to a fall in new orders.

Nevertheless, the index, a measure of manufacturing activity, is still above 60 for the third straight month. Readings above 60 indicate expansion.
