Chicago Business Barometer Expands Again

Chicago, IL, March 30, 2012 -- The Chicago PMI continued to expand but at a slower pace in March but marked its fifth straight month above 60%.

The PMI fell to 62.2% in March from 64.0% in February.

While the production and new orders components rose, the new orders component decelerated to 63.3% in March from 69.2% in February, and employment fell to 56.3% from 64.2%.

Numbers above 50 indicated expansion.
