Chicago Area Manufacturing Expanding

Chicago, IL, Sept. 30, 2010--The Chicago PMI, a regional measure of manufacturing activity, showed a reading of 60.4 for September, much higher than the 55.5 analysts had been expecting.

A reading of 50 or above indicates expansion.
