Chain Store Sales Off Last Week

New York, NY, Sept. 22, 2009--The ICSC-Goldman Sachs chain store sales index for the week ending Sept. 19 fell 2 percent from the prior week, but increased by 0.6 percent from the same week of last year.

The week-over-week decline was the largest since Jan. 10. This mixed sales picture was affected by a host of factors.
