Chain Store Sales Higher Than Last Year

Washington, DC, Jan. 27, 2010--U.S. chain-store sales rose 1.9 percent last week compared with one year ago, according to the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Goldman Sachs.

Same-store sales fell 2.5 percent from the previous week. For January, ICSC is projecting that chain-store sales will increase by about 1 percent.
