CFI, WFCA Broaden Educational Focus

Kansas City, MO, September 15, 2005--“Combining their efforts, the WFCA and CFI will broaden their educational focus during the coming year, bringing events to the local areas and concentrating on large skills workshops with individual training,” according to Jon Namba, director of technical services for the World Floor Covering Association. “It is our desire to provide the industry with the latest information to better service their clients.” “All skills workshops will provide credit (CEC’S) to obtain the CFI Residential-II or Commercial-II Certification after January 2006,” stated Jim Walker, CFI’s executive director and CEO. “The workshops will provide the installers with the latest in techniques, tools and materials. Because of the individual, hands-on training involved, the size of the workshops is limited. CFI has developed the finest team of installation trainers in the nation that numbers 76. Their skills are constantly being updated in order to share with others the tools of a successful installation business.” The Carpet Installation for Inspectors course provides the necessary information for those who work with installers, handle complaints and find it necessary to know the solutions available when problems do occur. It is a two-day course taught by Jim Walker and a group of CFI Trainers and is available in several states prior to the end of the year. Visit www.CFIinstallers.com to download the registration form and the latest schedule of events. Jim explains, “The information in this course should be used by every dealer and installer in this country. Dealers should fully understand how installers who are unqualified create a situation that leads to customer dissatisfaction. Professionally trained installers should use the information to protect themselves when problems do arise. Only by becoming more knowledgeable can we all achieve the ultimate goal of customer satisfaction.” This course is recognized by many in the industry as one to attend to fully understand what is involved in a carpet installation, how to identify problems and find solutions. Barrett Hagood, Mohawk Customer Relations, “We recommend this course because the current information and demonstrations provide an educational format unequalled in the industry as related to the installation knowledge required to resolve problems associated with carpet installation.” Ken Brown, Shaw Technical Services, “This course provides the installation knowledge that is essential for the dealers and those who are associated with the installation of carpet. We recommend it highly.” Schedule for October October 11-12 Sponsored by William Bird Company of Kennesaw, GA October 18-19 Wingate Inn, Arlington, TX October 25-26 Sponsored by T&A Supply of Kent, WA
