CFI 11th Convention in Chattanooga This Month

Kansas City, MO, July 13--The CFI 11th Convention is scheduled for July 28-31, 2004 at the Chattanoogan Hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Convention Center was selected to give attendees the opportunity to tour Dalton manufacturing facilities. “Installation! The Great Adventure” is the theme of 2004. On Wednesday, July 28 CFI Members will tour the Mohawk-Durkan printed carpet facility and the Shaw woven, attached cushion and coating plants. While at Shaw, the members will also tour the technical lab. Having the opportunity to participate in these tours enhances the educational theme of the Convention. There is an unlimited supply of food, just waiting for you to enjoy. Wednesday evening, the CFI Certification Team will meet under the direction of Ed Braile to review the past events and plan for 2005. This Team is comprised of 72 members that are responsible for the Certification process. Thursday morning at 7:30, Dennis Brown, well-known motivational speaker will bring his spirit of “Attitude is Everything” to the WFCA Sponsored Leadership Conference. This opening event is always one that sets the stage for an enthusiastic weekend. With a registration of 171, it will be the largest Leadership Conference to date. Following this event, 18 educational conferences will begin. Brown will also be the main speaker at the Welcome Reception Thursday evening. D.J. Harrington, “Mr. CFI,” will be on hand to welcome everyone to another exciting convention. The third CFI Chapter Conference will meet at 8 pm to discuss new and innovative ideas to enhance the growth and educational value of the individual chapters. The new CFI Chapter Resource Guide will be distributed, a 50+ manual to assist in the organization and operation of a local chapter. All industry-related associates are welcome. The member cost for four-day package is $490.00, plus $50.00 for the WFCA-sponsored Leadership Conference. All CFI Convention fees include the meals associated with the package.
