Ceramic & LVT Imports Declined in Units & Dollars in January
Charlotte, NC, March 26, 2026-Ceramic and LVT imports declined in units and dollars in January, reports Truist.
Ceramic imports for the month finished down 24% year over year in units and down 30% year over year in dollars. India was the only highlighted country to see unit growth with a 2% year over year increase, but dollars declined 7% year over year. Spain and Italy saw unit and dollar declines in excess of 20% year over year.
LVT Imports for the month declined 16% in units and 26% in dollars. Vietnam saw units fall 3% year over year will dollars down 16% which marked with first year over year decline in units since 2023. Imports from China continue to fall dramatically as units declined 89% year over year and dollars declined 92% year over year. Since the liberation day tariffs, China has seen its marketshare decline from 38% in January 2025 to 3% in January 2026. South Korea saw its units decline 28% in units and 17% in dollars.
