Ceramic Imports Declined 25% in November, Vinyl Imports Down 16%

Charlotte, NC, February 3, 2026-Total ceramic unit imports were down 25% year-over-year (YOY) in November with dollars down 23% YOY, while vinyl flooring unit imports were down 16% YOY with dollars down 10% YOY. reports Truist.

“Spain and Italy reversed their five month streaks of unit growth, both seeing 13% YOY unit declines while Mexico continued its slide with 30% declines in units. India saw the biggest declines with 41% declines in units and a 35% decline in dollars. YTD [year-to-date] units and dollars are only down 2%, which we believe is because sourcing for this product is much less concentrated.”

“Vietnam saw growth in both units and dollars, which only partially offset the declines in China and South Korea. We note that YTD through November, imports on a unit and dollar basis from China are down in the 80% range, which is indicative of the much higher tariff rates levied on the country. The growth in units and dollars from Vietnam and the rest of world have so far been enough to hold total units across all countries flat with dollars up 3%.”
