Centiva Wins Environmental Award from Florence

Florence, AL, April 29, 2010--Centiva has received the first annual Green Team Partners award from the city of Florence.
 
The annual Green Team Partners Award recognizes a company or individual that is practicing resource efficiency.

The winning company must achieve a successful business operation while protecting the environment. A Green Team Partner not only conserves resources but educates about resource conservation.

The standards for the award are divided into five categories: General Green, Water Conservation, Energy Conservation, Solid Waste Reduction, and Pollution Prevention.
 
Centiva tracks water and energy usage, has adopted a written environmental policy, has established a "green team," and has provided on-going training on water conservation and recycling. It has made manufacturing changes to conserve energy, filters water, and has an extensive recycling program, among other sustainable practices.
