St. Louis, MO, Aug 26--CCA Global Partners has announced the formation of the CCA Global Partners/Floor Covering Industry Foundation's First Annual Charity Golf Tournament.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Marriott Evergreen Resort in Stone Mountain, Georgia on September 25, and will benefit the Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF).
The FCIF was created 20 years ago to focus industry attention on the health, human service and welfare needs of those in the floorcovering industry in times of life-altering medical hardships. The Foundation has been a unique lifeline to members of our industry family who find themselves in need of financial assistance. Their help has been consistently delivered with compassion, confidentiality and dignity.
Alan Greenberg, Co-CEO, CCA Global Partners said. “Over the years, the FCIF has assisted many retailers and individuals in the floor covering industry when they had nowhere else to turn. Because its approach has been low-key, the Foundation has had limited funds to work with.
“This past year, many of us committed ourselves to significantly increasing the FCIF's capital base by establishing a new endowment fund. The CCA Global Partners/Floor Covering Industry Foundation's First Annual Charity Golf Tournament is an important step to help build a strong donor base and make the endowment fund a reality. It is a critical component in insuring that FCIF can continue its ongoing operations, distribute grants and create a mechanism for stable, long-term grant giving.”
The golf event and evening celebration will take place at the Evergreen Marriott Resort, located just 25 miles from downtown Atlanta. Surrounded by 3,200 acres of natural wooded beauty, the tournament will be played on beautiful 18-hole golf courses in Stone Mountain.
The day begins with a lunch at noon followed by the tournament, an evening of cocktails, dinner and an awards ceremony. A block of rooms have been reserved at the Marriott Evergreen for those wishing to stay over.
