CCA Global Launches Tuxedo Store Co-op
St. Louis, MO, June 11--CCA Global Partners Inc. has formed a cooperative of more than 300 independently owned retailers of men's formalwear. Called Tuxedo America, the cooperative is targeted toward independent retailers, and is expected to allow them to dominate their markets while maintaining autonomy, said Alan Greenberg, co-founder, co-chairman and co-chief executive of CCA Global Partners, in a statement. "More than 2.5 million couples marry each year, and formalwear is a $1.4 billion industry that continues to grow," Greenberg said. "Tuxedo America answers the consumer's need for the personal service at which locally owned businesses can excel combined with the product range and value of a large national retailer." Christopher Ramey, president of Tuxedo America, said Tuxedo America members will have access to the same marketing, management and purchasing capabilities that help CCA retailers achieve profitability levels substantially above industry norms. Members of Tuxedo America have annual sales of $160 million and include more than 300 stores nationwide. CCA Global Partners is the 10th largest privately held company in St. Louis with $1.2 billion in revenue in 2002. Its holdings include Carpet One, Flooring America, Flooring One, ProSource, Stone Mountains CarpetMill Outlet, Floor Expo, International Design Guild, Rug Décor, Lighting One and Lenders One.
