Carpets of Dalton Inventory, Equipment Sold

Dalton, GA, July 14, 2011 -- Carpets of Dalton, one of the largest home furnishings retailers in the state, had its inventory, machinery and equipment auctioned off in the past week, according to the Dalton Daily Citizen.

Furrow Auction Co. completed a four-day total liquidation, according to the company’s website.

According to the Dalton Daily Citizen, since 2008, Carpets of Dalton’s sales have fallen by more than 50%.

Last fall, BB&T filed suit seeking more than $40 million in defaulted loans and interest from Carpets of Dalton, its affiliate companies and executives.
