Carpetright's Harris Sees Improvement in 2015

London, England, March 23, 2012 -- Carpetright executive chairman Lord Harris predicts another two years of recession, then five very good years.

Harris said the economic downturn is like no other he has seen in 54 years of retailing.

"All my recessions have only been two years," he told Interiors Monthly.

"This recession's going to be five or six years. In 2010, I said we'd be out in 2012. Now I think it won't be until 2014. But if the government carries on doing what it's doing I think we're on for a very good run from 2015 to 2020."
