Carpet One’s New Store Design Program Increases Sa
Manchester, NH, March 1--Last February, Carpet One unveiled its comprehensive new store planning program, "Destination: Carpet One," designed to help its members create attractive, comfortable and functional retail environments. The goal was to enhance the shopping experience with a design that takes into account the specific market condition, recognizes the consumers’ needs and embraces the particular store owner’s objectives. The store planning program allows each store to maintain its individual environment on a local level and to adapt to the changing consumer trends, while representing the national Carpet One brand. Over 50 Carpet One stores have joined Destination: Carpet One since the program was launched last year, and close to 20 have completed the store redesign. The results have been exceptional, with double-digit increases in sales for all redesigned stores since their grand re-openings. For some stores, the success came almost immediately. Not long after Patrick’s Carpet One in Olympia, WA completed its redesign they saw outstanding results – their sales consistently increased in double-digit increments over a three-month period. "The Destination: Carpet One store planning program has surpassed the expectations of senior management, as well as bucked retail industry trends for store remodeling," explained Evan Hackel, president of Carpet One. "Our stores have seen high double-digit sales increases, reflecting the remarkable success of the program."
