Carpet One Intros New Store Design Program

Manchester, NH, Apr. 28--Carpet One has unveiled a comprehensive store planning program aimed at helping its members develop attractive yet functional store environments. Working with FRCH Design Worldwide, a leading architectural design firm specializing in retail store development, the Carpet One program establishes a standard of store consistency and offers members basic and optional elements to help them develop the design plan that best suits the needs of their individual businesses. Created with the customer and Carpet One stores in mind, the "Destination: Carpet One" retail planning program helps store owners create a welcoming environment that provides customers with an informative flooring shopping experience while maximizing the efficiency of the store's existing floor space. "We're pleased to offer our members this exceptional retail planning program," said Dean Marcarelli, co-COO of Carpet One. "The new store concept will help our members create a visually impactful store environment that showcases our extensive selection of flooring products in a setting that helps to simplify the overall flooring shopping experience for consumers." Designed to work with a variety of showroom space configurations, the new store design program helps Carpet One members integrate both new and existing store elements, and can be customized for each store while still maintaining a cohesive brand image within each space. Aggieland Carpet One, located in College Station, TX, was the first Carpet One store to rollout the state-of-the-art showroom design. The 6,400 square foot store, which unveiled its new look in December 2003, features eye-catching fixtures, sleek furnishings, bold display graphics and banners that clearly communicate the Carpet One brand image throughout the space. Additional Carpet One retailers across the U.S. will be incorporating the new store planning program in stores throughout 2004.
