Carpet One Floor & Home Supports Marine Toys for T

Manchester, NH, November 6, 2006--Carpet One Floor & Home is once again teaming up with the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation this holiday season. For the ninth year in a row, Carpet One Floor & Home stores nationwide will be donating children's books to local kids and acting as Toys For Tots drop-off locations. The company has long been an advocate for children's literacy, donating more than 350,000 books to children over the past ten years through community relations programs like the Magic Carpet Time Tour and Toys For Tots. Carpet One Floor & Home will also continue their tradition of making a corporate donation to Toys For Tots during the holiday season. Carpet One Floor & Home's Toys for Tots program provides books to children who otherwise may never have the opportunity to own a book or discover how much fun reading can be. Studies have shown that children who read often, generally do better in their other subjects, like math, geography, science and music. Similarly, those who fall behind their classmates at an early age, generally stay behind. Last year, Carpet One Floor & Home stores made a difference for children in their communities by donating thousands of books and toys through Toys For Tots. Carpet One Floor & Home hopes to continue their support, both corporately and locally, for many years to come.
