Philadelphia, PA, March 27, 2007--A variety of topics dealing with the floor covering installation industry will be examined at a conference later this spring, hosted by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC). INSTALL, the International Standards and Training Alliance, is the floor covering arm of the UBC. INSTALL’s training, marketing and mills and manufacturers’ partnership programs will be the focus of discussion during the four-day event.
The conference will be held at the UBC’s International Training Center in Las Vegas, from April 30 through May 3, 2007. Close to 300 attendees from the United States and Canada, mostly consisting of contractors, mill and manufacturing representatives and INSTALL business representatives are expected to attend.
In addition to special guest speakers, the conference will feature three roundtable discussions, one each for INSTALL’s 39 mills and manufacturing partners, training instructors, and business representatives. Six educational workshops also will be offered, ranging in topics from contract best practices and productivity, to marketing and specifier education strategies. INSTALL’s mill and manufacturing partners also are expected to put on a mini-exhibition of their trade show booths, for the benefit of conference attendees.
INSTALL is the flooring industry’s only standardized, multiple-year installation training program in North America. For more information, visit www.installfloors.org.
