Card-Monroe's ColorPoint Wins Patents

Chattanooga, TN, June 4, 2012 -- Card-Monroe Corp. said that it has received U.S. as well as European and Turkish patents for its ColorPoint tufting machine.

According to company president Charles F. Monroe, CMC has now received  total of 93 U.S. patents relating to tufting machines and tufting technology.

Using ColorPoint, carpet manufacturers have the ability to make Axminster type designs in tufted constructions.

The technology can produce multiple pile heights and textures with single-stitch pinpoint accuracy. There are no buried ends, providing full gauge coverage.

Card-Monroe said that demand for ColorPoint has been growing, particularly in the carpet tile and hospitality markets.

CMC also announced that it was honored at the Manufacturing Leadership Summit as a Top One Hundred Innovative Enterprise.
