Card Monroe Introduces Innovative Tufting Machine
Chattanooga, TN, July 22, 2009--Card-Monroe Corp. has introduced what it calls "this decade’s most innovative tufting machine."
The new proprietary technology, named ColorPoint, enables carpet manufacturers to create Axminster woven looks in tufted carpets, allowing styling flexibility and cost savings to the consumer.
The new ColorPoint machine allows carpet manufacturers to place up to six colors or more anywhere in a carpet pattern with unmatched pinpoint accuracy, and do all of this with no buried ends, resulting in full-gauge coverage.
The new machine utilizes the Infinity Pattern Attachment, which helps create carpet with multiple pile heights and a variety of textures and cut/loop effects. Additionally, there is no limit to size and scale of patterns that can be created in the carpet’s design.
Carpet manufacturers, including a list of the world’s leading carpet producers, have been visiting CMC’s Creative Tufting Center in Chattanooga to run samples of unique carpet styles and patterns on the new machines.
The new series of ColorPoint machines includes three models, each available in a variety of gauges.
ColorPoint LP is an all loop-pile machine that can produce Axminster type multicolor patterns with the economy and agility of a tufting machine. It allows for multiple pile heights to be created for a variety of textures and tip-sheared effects. Especially designed for the Hospitality, Contract, Senior Living, Carpet Tile, and Rug markets.
ColorPoint CP is an all cut-pile multicolor pattern machine with the ability to place up to four colors anywhere in the design. It offers styling flexibility for Residential or Rug applications.
ColorPoint C&L machine provides the capability to produce all cut-pile multicolor products or patterns with varying amounts of cut and loop. It allows for multiple pile heights in the loop-pile portion of the pattern. The company says thes machine is perfect for Hospitality, Contract, Carpet Tile, or Residential markets.
