CAP Carpets Buys GCO Carpet Outlet Franchise

St. Louis, Missouri, January 9, 2008--On January 1, Kansas based CAP Carpet acquired a St. Louis, Missouri GCO Carpet Outlet franchise with four locations in the metropolitan area. CAP Carpet now owns 13 floorcovering stores in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska, including Floor Trader stores, ProSource stores, a Carpet One in Topeka and Big Bob's Carpet Stores in Wichita. Like Carpet One and Floor Trader, GCO Carpet Outlet stores are members of CCA Global Partners.

Since 1977, the family owned GCO franchise has been run by Billy Citrin and wife Nuria, and their stores are well known in the St. Louis area, in part due to a TV ad campaign launched in the late 1970s featuring Billy Citrin playing the mandolin and singing a jingle he had composed.

CAP Carpet is also a second generation family business, owned by Aaron and La Vone Pirner. CAP Carpet plans on retaining Citrin's staff.
