California AB 863 Signed into Law

Sacramento, CA, September 30, 2024-California bill AB 863 was signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom.

The Carpet & Rug Institute (CRI) opposes the legislation, which replaces the existing California Carpet Stewardship Program with an industry-funded program covering carpet and carpet cushion.

Resilient and turf, which were in the original bill, are not included in the final.
