Washington, DC, December 14--Business inventories in the United States increased by 0.2 percent in October, according to a Commerce Department reported released Monday.
The report showed that the manufacturers' and trade inventories were estimated at a level of $1.260 trillion in the month, up 0.2 percent from September and 7.1 percent from October of last year.
Business trade sales were up 1.2 percent from the previous month and 11 percent from the same month of 2003.
