Builders' Show To Feature Industry's Large

Washington, DC, January 26, 2007--More than 100,000 housing professionals are expected to attend the 2007 International Builders’ Show (IBS), February 7-10, in Orlando. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) event, held in one of the largest convention centers in the country, will feature the most cutting-edge designs, technologies, products and services for the home building industry. A record 1,900 exhibitors will be on display across more than a million net square feet of exhibit space. Products and services spanning more than 300 building industry categories will be featured at the housing industry’s largest new-product showcase. Here are just some of the many exciting innovations that will be on display at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center. Wall and Floor Products: Boral Bricks will introduce two of its newest products for the remodeling industry: ReCote, a masonry-finishing system, as well as a new line of interior thin-brick products. ReCote, available in 30 distinct colors, can be applied to any masonry surface, and the thin-brick product line will initially roll out in four color choices. East Teak Fine Hardwoods, a leading importer of high-grade first European quality teak and exotic and fine hardwood products that are used in yachts, hotels, resorts, office buildings and luxury homes, will be exhibiting their products at the show. East Teak serves the architectural, up-scale residential, commercial construction and boating industries throughout the United States, the Caribbean and Canada. Draco International, specializing in energy-saving floor-vent covers for homes with forced air heaters and air conditioners will showcase its InteliVent product. Draco International designs, manufactures and distributes patented, programmable vent covers that give room-by-room air flow management to increase residential energy savings and maximize comfort. Forbo will exhibit Marmoleum Click, a natural linoleum floor covering mounted on aquasafe HDF with a cork backing. Click offers a visually pleasing, easy-to-maintain flooring option that features an easy, glue-less in-and-out installation system. Greenblock Worldwide Corp. will introduce its “2-4-2” Insulated Concrete Form system. With its 8 inch overall width, the 2-4-2 was specifically designed as a replacement for concrete block (CMU) construction. Kultur Flooring will feature its Manufacturer Supply & Install program for new home construction and contract renovations. The featured product is a true random-length single strip, with three width options, 3¼, 4 and 5 inch. This is a glueless floating engineered wood floor, ideal for use over both concrete and wooden sub-floors. Marino/WARE will showcase its StudRite steel wall system, which provides clean, straight lines for maximum structural stability in walls and load-bearing structures. StudWare’s unique triangular cutout design allows plumbing, heating, electrical and other conduits to pass through easily. Oshkosh Designs will unveil its 2007 signature collection, Essence, with a spectacular exhibit of inlay applications. Domestic and exotic hardwoods, along with stone and recycled glass, are united to create the designers’ expression of essence of a woman. Pactiv Building Products will exhibit its GreenGuard line of building products, focusing this year on water-managed and energy-efficient walls. It will also unveil a brand-new product for its GreenGuard housewrap line. Quiet Solution, a leading producer of soundproofing materials for the building industry, will highlight its new QuietRock 510 soundproof drywall, the most cost-effective sound damping wall and ceiling panel on the market.
