Bruce Hardwood Introducing New Lines in 2005
Lancaster, PA, February 17--Consumers will see an array of new Bruce Hardwood Flooring in 2005, starting with 59 new choices across eight lines including a new Distressed Oak collection. The new year is expected to mark the broadest product expansion in the 118-year history [1886] of the Bruce brand with more fireworks due later, says Laurie Israel-Cubell, vice president, Marketing and Product Development, Armstrong. "Lifestyles cover a broad spectrum, and we are both broadening and deepening the portfolio to satisfy those varied needs. Consumers should find just what matches their personality and style in Bruce," she says. The new Bruce entries span both ¾" solid hardwood and more versatile 3/8" engineered hardwood floors, and include: 1) a new version of American Originals Distressed Oak Planks available in 3/8" engineered hardwoods, 2) the new Eddington Plank line of solid hardwood 3 1/4" plank in the fine graining of Ash, and 3) a set of 30 new products in the premium Liberty Plains line of 3," 4," and 5" solid hardwood planks (including four new colors in Oak, four in the Maple collection and two new colors in Ash). In addition, Bruce transfuses the crispness of White Oak and the sanguine beauty of Red Oak species across existing solid hardwood lines including: Westchester 3 ¼" plank to complement the existing 2 ¼" strip collection, and new colors in the popular Bristol and Dundee 3 1/4" solid hardwood planks and 2 ¼"strips. Sliced-face Red Oak also debuts in two engineered hardwood lines – the 3" Nelson Plank™ and 3" Rockhampton Plank™, both popular with consumers and builders. The Nelson Plank is a new square-edge and square-end profile version of Turlington Plank with a Dura-Luster finish and 15-year residential finish warranty.
