British Carpet Museum To Get Lottery Funds
Kidderminster, England, Sept. 28, 2010--A planned carpet industry museum will receive lottery funding to help set it up.
Carpet Museum Trust has been provided with a $2.7 million fund to establish the center in Stour vale Mill, which was built in 1855 and was originally itself a carpet factory, the BBC reports.
A vintage working loom from the Victorian period will be one of the features of the museum, which will focus on Kidderminster's role in Britain's carpet-making industry.
