Greenville, MS, Oct. 31--Ken Hardy has been appointed to the newly-created post of Vice President Project Management for Brintons U.S.Axminster, makers of custom woven carpet.
As announced by Mark Worgan, CEO, Hardy will be responsible for establishing and implementing new systems for interfacing between the sales force, administration and production departments. He will work closely with managers in all departments to streamline internal communications and procedures to enhance customer service.
Hardy brings both a technical background and sales experience in custom woven carpet to his new position. A native of the UK, he joined Brintons 31 years ago after receiving his Textile Design degree from The University of Leeds. He worked in various design, research and production capacities before becoming part of the U.S. sales and marketing team in 1984. He has developed business on both the west and east coast, and for the past 16 years, has been based in the Washington, DC area.
“To say that Ken brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this new position is an understatement,” notes Worgan. “Having worked in virtually every area of our business, he has an excellent perspective of our capabilities and the needs of our customers. Hardy is currently based in the Washington DC area and will spend significant time at the company’s manufacturing facilities in the UK and Greenville, MS for the next six months. A successor for his current sales capacity is to be announced in the near future.
