Brintons Reports 81% Earnings Increase YOY

Atlanta, GA, February 9, 2017—Axminster carpet manufacturer Brintons Carpets Limited is reporting an 81% increase in year-over-year earnings (EBITDA) from £8.0m to £14.5m (equivalent to $9.9 million to $17.9 million at today’s exchange rate) with a margin of 16.3%.

“This tremendous growth has been brought about by a combination of significant investment in new technology, improved productivity and high-profile design projects,” said chief executive officer Duccio Baldi. "The outlook for 2017 is equally promising as we continue to benefit from developments such as our 2015 acquisition of Polish carpet manufacturer F.D. Agnella. We have a strong order book and as a net exporter we can take advantage of the sterling's global devaluation to further improve earnings."

The U.S. has been key in the company’s overall growth. In the U.S., the brand has experienced strong revenue growth and supplied carpet for hundreds of commercial and marine developments and renovations across the country.

Brintons has design studios and offices in all the major markets around the world and manufacturing facilities in UK, Poland, Portugal and India, employing more than 1,800 staff. Brintons USA was formed in 1971 and the current U.S. headquarters are located outside of Atlanta. Britons is a 233 year old company.
