Brazilian Firm To Build Tile Factory in Angola
Luanda, Angola, Oct. 19, 2009-- A tile factory with capacity to produce 300,000 square meters of tiles per month will be built in Luanda in 2010 by Brazilian ceramics industry equipment company Entec, the company's chief executive said Saturday in Luanda.
Speaking to Angolan news agency Angop during the Constrói-Angola fair, Hélio Roberto Cesa said that the factory would be set up in partnership with Angolan business groups, including Chicoil, and was likely to create 130 jobs.
According to Cesa, in order to carry out the project, which has been submitted to the National agency for Private INvestment (ANIP) for approval, $4.8 million will be invested.
According to Cesa, after a year the Luanda factory has been in operation for a year, the partners plan to set up factories in other Angolan provinces, in order to meet domestic demand.
